Deer Cabage next to the Deer Mountain Trail that leads to the Deer Mountain Cabin on Deer Mountain. No telling what kind of wildlife a person may see up here. I wonder if they have deer up here?
After unloading most of my gear at the Deer Mountain Cabin and eating some food and chatting with a couple guys, I went out to do some photography. Not much in the way of photo opportunites but I did find this stream swollen from the rains. Yup, it was raining.
The following morning had some decent weather between the rain squalls. This is a photo of the trail between Blue Lake and Deer Mountain. Fall color provided by deer cabbage.
A cruise ship attempts to dwarf the city of Ketchikan. Just wait until there are four lined up.
The Blue Mountain Cabin.
Looking out toward the open ocean. It is a view that we never had while in Wrangell. There were always other islands and mountains blocking our view of the open ocean.
