Go Tigers! 6.19.14

This is for our Michigan family!  Go Tigers!

Upset Tummy 6.17.14

Jeralyn wasn't feeling too well the evening of this day.  Not sure what it was, but it didn't last long.  Here she was eating crackers and watching Frozen.

Something cute that came out of this was that she asked for a Band-Aid for her tummy.  So she got a Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtle Band-Aid on her belly. Ha!

3 Months 6.17.14

He was 3 months old on June 18th.  And I realize that I haven't shared much about what he's like (so far).  He's really smiley (but serious for the camera still).  He coos and squeals (we recently gave him the nickname of "Joshasaurus").  His other nickname is Mr. Moo (Jeralyn is Missy Moo).  And he's drooling like crazy.  We can see his two bottom teeth just under the gums.  One tooth is closer than the other, but I have a feeling it will be here soon!  He's a lot more "reactionary" than Jeralyn, but he's getting better at going with the flow.  He's finally starting to tolerate riding in the car (which is weird since most babies like riding in the car, but he did not).  He's been sleeping through the night since 12 weeks (thank you, Babywise!), but his naps could be better (he will get there).  He's very sweet and loves to watch his big sister.  His smile lights up the room!  At first I thought he looked a lot like Quent, but now I'm seeing more of me in him.  Some people say he looks like me, and then some say he looks like Quent, so I guess it's the eye of the beholder.  He's probably 14-15 pounds now. We love this little guy oh so much!

Little Pool 6.16.14

Our neighbors found their little kid pool in their shed and set it up.  Jeralyn thought it was pretty cool!

Little Beauty 6.15.14

Tigger Love 6.15.14

Jeralyn has recently been even more interested in Tigger.  She thinks they should play together.  A few days ago I heard her say to Tigger, "Don't do dat Tigger.  Dat not nice.  I go play with Shadow now."  He is pretty tolerant of her and she just loves him!

Growing 6.14.14

Joshua is growing and changing fast!

Silly Girl 6.13.14

Jeralyn has been helping put some of the dishes away.  She put this Tupperware colander on her head and said, "Take a picture!"  It was the first time she asked me to take a picture of her.

Concrete 6.12.14

We are currently working on turning our carport into a garage.  Quent and his friend RJ worked on the footer and stem wall for the foundation.

Working fast as the concrete was being poured.

Jeralyn was helping too.

Deck Happenings 6.11.14

I would say we've had a pretty decent "summer" so far.  Really beautiful days with long stretches of sunshine, peppered with some rainy days.  We will take it!

Joshua is spending some time out on the deck as well.  He's getting stronger!

Jeralyn was having fun blowing bubbles!

I love how she still has a little bit of her "baby face".

She helped me shuck some corn.  As you can see, it's serious business!

Train Puzzle 6.9.14

Jeralyn is really into putting puzzles together.  She needs my help with some of them, but basically she's on her own right now.

Something new that she's been doing recently is when we refer to her by her name, she says, "No, I Shelly's mommy."  And then she will quickly add, "No, I a princess."  Oh dear!  I blame this on her watching the movie Frozen.  She will often ask to wear dresses, too, which is fun!  Now she is asking about doing a Frozen puzzle--which we do not have, yet!

Bath Boy 6.7.14

Joshua finally started to like his baths.  It wasn't too bad, but he had his moments.

Homemade Ice Cream 6.7.14

Jeralyn and I made some homemade vanilla ice cream.  She had fun "helping".
