Softest Skin 11.21.11

Some of you are probably wondering when there will be more "Alaskan" photos.  Good news!  Quent has some!  But I'm not sure when they will be posted.  Until then, you will be bombarded with cute baby photos!

I thought it was time for some more [partially] naked baby photos:

Tummy Time 11.18.11

Reading together 11.16.11

Quent was reading Glacier Pilot by Beth Day to Jeralyn one evening.  Does she look impressed?

Mendenhall Waterfall 11.13.11

We went and checked out the Mendenhall Glacier one afternoon.  It had snowed previously.  When we were walking on the trail to the waterfall it was lightly misting/raining.  We were thankful for our rain jackets, but I wished I would have brought my rain pants.  Oh well!  When you live in Southeast Alaska you learn to deal with the moisture.  I really like how there are lots of trails and recreational opportunies near the glacier.  The trails are friendly (on the legs).  We saw people walking their dogs, kids running around, and people just enjoying the afternoon.

Heads Up 11.12.11

Jeralyn has been sucking on her hands more.  Her head is getting stronger.  She is a joy!

We've been doing some tummy time.  She's getting better and better at keeping her head up.  When we first started doing tummy time she would get fussy, but now she's enjoying it more.  This was the first day she really started lifting her head up longer and stronger.

Go Baby!

Ferry Ride 11.9.11

We went on a 22-hour ferry ride from Ketchikan to Juneau for Quent's work.  Jeralyn did really well on the ferry.  We brought her Pack n Play on the ferry and set it up in our cabin (room).  The weather was beautiful, so no scary waves to rock the boat.  The mountains all around were absolutely gorgeous with the snow covering them.  It made me remember why we live in Alaska, but also made me question why we live in Ketchikan.  I don't think Ketchikan has pretty enough mountains around, except for Deer Mountain.  Hmmm...

Leavin' on a jet plane 10.30.11

I'm going back through time a little and putting some pictures out of order (more posting to come).  Here is a picture Quent took of my mom on what we refer to as "Nowhere".  They left on the same flight that morning to Seattle.  This was the only picture of my mom in Alaska with mountains in the background.  I should have taken advantage of the few hours of "sunlight" we had when she was visiting to snap some photos, but I wasn't thinking (or maybe I was hopeful the sun would come out again).  I encouraged her to come some time in the spring or summer, where we have a better chance of more suitable picture-taking weather.

Jeralyn Promise 11.1.11 thru 11.7.11

I'm sorry about the delay in posts.  We've been pretty busy.  Here are some pictures of Jeralyn to get a little caught up:

My friend LaDonna from Wrangell made Jeralyn this adorable sweater.  I'm always amazed when I put certain items of clothing on Jeralyn and they already fit!  She's growing so fast!

My polka-dot baby!

This (above) is one of my favorite photos of her.  She's amazing!

I like to take profile pictures of her when I can.

She is such a sweet baby!
