Dude Mountain 10.12.13

We went on another hike up Dude Mountain one Saturday morning.  It was a foggy morning, but Quent said it makes for some neat views up on the mountain.

Jeralyn was trying on my down jacket I got out to pack for the top of the mountain.

Here I am looking out at the view.  Half of the trail is boardwalk.

The last part of the trail is a bit tricky.  I feel better basically getting on my hands and knees to maneuver up the slope.  I told Quent this was probably the last time I would be making this trip up this trail...at least during the rest of my pregnancy.

When we got to the top, we were walking around trying to find a good place to sit and have lunch.  Jeralyn spotted some goats before Quent and I did.  She said, "Shhh, goats are sleeping!"  And then out popped a startled nanny and kid, running across the mountain, about 20-30 feet from us.  It was so neat that Jeralyn spotted them!

Eating lunch!

The fog would roll in and out of our little lunch spot.  We couldn't see much, but it was better than the last time we ventured up there.

Jeralyn walking on the last part of the trail while we were heading down.

Sweet girl ate all of the berries she could find!

Berry Picking 10.9.13

Quent took Jeralyn berry picking this morning.  She LOVES picking (and eating) berries!  It looks like she enjoyed her time with her daddy!

The yellow rain-suit is something that is a must if we want to take her outside in Southeast Alaska.

Help! 10.8.13

Jeralyn is 8.5 months potty-trained.  She is getting a lot better about doing things more independently now, like pulling her pants up and down.  And then she likes to try to put her pants back on by herself.  And this is what it looks like:

Silly girl!  I ask her if she's a mermaid when I find her like this.

Fall Foliage 10.7.13

Missy Moo 10.7.13

Here's my sweet girl playing outside one day.  I call her 'Missy Moo' sometimes and it's so cute when she says it, too.

Hamper 10.5.13

Jeralyn folded her hamper and was putting it over her head and was doing all sorts of funny things.  I thought it would be fun to capture her on camera.

Lower Silvis Lake 10.8.13

We hiked up the road to Lower Silvis Lake and had picnic lunch.  It was a beautiful day!  We have to take advantage of those now-a-days.

I can't remember what happened, but she ended up in tears.

Running!

More running!

Such a happy girl!

16.5 weeks bump 10.4.13

Baby is growing!  And so is my belly!

Coffee 10.3.13

Jeralyn thinks she likes coffee. When she sees me drinking it, she asks, "Bite?"

Smurf Hat 10.3.13

I was going through some boxes we have in storage and I found a hat that my Aunt Judy made for me when I was around Jeralyn's age.  It was so fun to see her wearing it...and it really made me miss my aunt all the more.

Reading 9.30.13

One of Jeralyn's favorite books is a children's Bible that Aunt Natasha gave her.  She knows it's about Jesus and it's so so sweet!  The pictures in the book are incredible, too!

Playing with Daddy 9.29.13

I captured the two of them building together.  So sweet!

Cranberries 9.29.13

Quent and Jeralyn went out and picked some low-bush cranberries.  And then Quent made cranberry salad.  Yum!

All Smiles 9.29.13

Silly girl was being super cute during 'table time'.

Helping Mama 9.28.13

Jeralyn helped me bake some pumpkin scones.  She scooped, dumped, stirred, and ate flour.  She had fun helping me!
