Cutie 7.6.14

Here's our teething little boy...

We just love him!

Two Kids in a Tub 7.3.14

Since our kitchen sink was no longer in use due to our kitchen project, we were using the kids' bath for washing dishes since it's closest to the kitchen.  So they took a bath in our bathroom.  And I believe this was the first time they took a bath together in the same tub.  They both thought it was pretty cool!

He was smiling at Jeralyn.  They are going to have so much fun playing in the bath together someday!

Cheese! 7.3.14

Have you ever seen anything cheesier?  She's our happy little girl!

Happy Coloring 7.3.14

Jeralyn has been enjoying coloring in her coloring books with markers.  And it's a good thing they are washable markers!  Ha!

Joshua and the Jumperoo 6.28.14

We thought it was time to bring out the Jumperoo for Joshua.  He was ready for it, for sure!

Jeralyn was showing him how it works.

Notice who Joshua is holding?  He must be pretty special to be able to hold Shelly.

The Parade 7.4.14

Here are some pictures from our 4th of July festivities:

We didn't get too far down the road before we hit a traffic jam (which is a rarity here).  The parade was starting on our end of town, so it took a little longer to get to where we normally watch the parade.

Before the parade started, we visited the food booths.  Jeralyn and I shared a piece of pie.  Or should I say, Jeralyn shared some of her pie with me.  Ha!

It felt like the parade took forever to get to us.  Jeralyn couldn't wait!  I think she was anticipating the candy.

I wore Joshua in the baby carrier the whole parade (which again, took a long time to come our way).  There was a lot of bouncing and patting going on to keep him happy.

Jeralyn's friend Olivia was in the parade.

Holding her candy bag and watching the parade.

After the parade was over, Olivia came to visit with Jeralyn.  Jeralyn was showing her the candy she picked up during the parade.

Jeralyn went to bed at normal time that night, and then we woke her at 10:30 so she could go with Quent to watch the fireworks (at 11:00 pm).  She enjoyed them very much!  One of the first things she told me was that there wasn't any turtle fireworks.  Ha!

Painting 7.4.14

We are working on updating our kitchen.  We had some time to paint the morning of the 4th of July, so we did just that.  Jeralyn had fun helping.

One Duck Trail 6.19.14

A few pictures Quent took when he was working on Prince of Wales on the Hydaburg Road:

Heceta 6.16.14

Quent gets to see some cool places for work!  Such a beautiful day and beautiful scenery!  We love living in such a beautiful place!  Southeast Alaska is amazing!

Da Beach 5.27.14

One late afternoon, we met our friend's Samantha and Abby at the beach.  It was a low tide, so the kids had fun looking for fish, starfish, and other sea creatures.  Joshua slept in the baby carrier.

She loves the beach!!

Ward Lake Walk 5.26.14

We went on a family walk around Ward Lake.  We've had some beautiful weather this summer, mixed with LOTS of rain.  And yes, we consider the month of May part of our summer.  It's one of the nicest months of the year.

We parked by the frog pond to start our walk.  The first part of the walk is over a bridge.  It makes me feel like I'm in the Midwest.

Halfway through our walk we stopped by the Ward Lake "beach".  Jeralyn had fun playing in the water that was full of pollen.

Splish, splash!

Here she is holding up a lily pad.  She said they looked like hearts: right on!

Mommy and daughter (and son).

I love these family walks.  It's so fun to see the world through Jeralyn's eyes!

Blowing Bubbles 5.18.14

I'm backing up a bit to post some of Quent's photos.

Jeralyn and I were blowing bubbles at each other.  It was a lot of fun!  She's hilarious!
