Sending our love 5.17.13

A friend of mine had a baby who was in NICU due to some much needed medical attention.  A group of our friends decided to send them a care package along with a photo book with photos from all over the country of the people praying and thinking of baby Eli.  I designed the PDF file to be printed by each friend/family.  These were some pictures I took of Jeralyn with the paper (although the photo we picked to use was from my iPhone).  I had to bribe her to stay "still" on the chair by giving her M&M's.  It sort of worked.  Ha!

And Shelly had to be in the picture too!

Tigger 5.14.13

Tigger and Shadow get lots of love these days from Jeralyn.  And now they rub on her and want her attention (still more from Tigger though).  She chases them through the house, she lays on them, she kisses them, she tries to pick them up--such brave kitties!

Jeralyn loves eating a bowl of cereal and milk for breakfast.  And she really loves licking every last drop of milk from her bowl.  She must be getting ideas from the cats...or Quent.  Oops!

Bike Repair 5.4.13

Quent's bike had some issues while riding to/from work, so then he was riding my bike, which he had to fix the tire.  So after a long saga of having bike issues, he worked on my bike tire--along with Jeralyn's help.  I was impressed with her ability to use the air pump.  Go Jeralyn!

I can't remember what happened, but you can see a tear below her eye.  And her bottom lip is sticking out.  Poor girl!

Tissue 5.2.13

Jeralyn was pretending to sneeze into a tissue and then wipe/blow her nose.  Hilarious!

Pig-tails 4.30.13

Jeralyn's hair is long enough to put into side pig-tails now.  So cute!

Happy 4.28.13

 These pictures are a reminder that she's not a baby anymore.  She's turning into this little girl...advancing into the "terrible twos".  Would y'all believe that her favorite word right now is "NO!"?  Yes, it certainly is.  She also asks, "What is that?" quite a bit now, but it sounds more like, "Esau?"  Like the other day she noticed one of the first cruise ships docked and being the little observer that she is, asked, "Esau?"  And we told her, "That's a big boat!"  And she repeats the last word we say or the word we emphasize.  So then she said, "Boat."  The other day I had food on my face and she said, "Uh oh!"  And then she pointed to her face where the food was located on my face.  I asked, "Do I have food on my face?"  She said, "Face."  Then I asked, "Should I get a napkin?"  She said, "Napkin."  I am just amazed at how much she knows and is figuring out almost daily.

She is such a JOY!

Mommy & Me 4.26.13

I'm not sure how it's even possible, but I don't think I took any photos with my actual camera (as opposed to my iPhone camera) from April 15th through April 25th.  So weird!  Unless maybe I can't find some photos, but that's what it looks like.

I made some chocolate chip cookies and Jeralyn had only cookies for lunch one day.  Actually, it was 1-3/4 cookies for lunch.  Oh, and milk.  And that was it.  Silly girl!

I'm starting to notice that her cheeks are shrinking.  I'm sad!  I miss those cheeks!

Sleeping 3.26.13

This is a blurry photo, but I wanted to post this picture of her sleeping.  I took it with my iPhone and it was dark in her room so I had to quickly turn on the flash before she woke...which she did within seconds after I took this.  Normally, she has an arm around Shelly's neck when she is sleeping.  She doesn't sleep with the blankets covering her yet.  We cover her before leaving the room, but we never find her that way (plus she's usually up by the time we get her).  She sleeps with Shelly and about 2-3 blankets.  She doesn't even seem to care that she has blankets in there, just as long as Shelly is with her.  Jeralyn sleeps great!  She's been taking 1 nap since a few days before she turned a year old; which was quite early, but she was totally ready. We have figured out she has low sleep needs like Quent, so she doesn't require as much sleep.
