Pink tongue 7.23.2010

Could he be any cuter? I took several pictures of Tigger taking a bath, but I saved the tongue ones just for the blog.

Day Lily 7.10.2010

We had the most beautiful day lilies bloom next to our deck stairs.

Tigger was watching me take pictures of the flowers through the window.

Parade Part 1 7.4.2010

Once one experiences a Wrangell 4th of July, it's hard to celebrate our freedom in any other place. We spent about a week in Wrangell, soaking in the rain in another part of Southeast Alaska, visiting our friends, and enjoying the festivities.

This is just part of the food palette we get to enjoy on the 4th of July at the Edens home!

Joy and Christina before the parade started. I don't remember it raining, but it might have sprinkled beforehand.

The beautiful O'Brien's.

Whoa, Smokey...look at those guns!

Sa---weet!

Ryan Long...back in Wrangell for another 4th of July.

After the parade the crowd disperses to find food. We always make our way over to the pie table. The pie of choice for us this year was creamy peanut butter.

Bring on the food! 7.4.2010

And the rootbeer!

This year the food theme for our 4th get together was "hotdogs from all over the world". Yum!

Mentos 7.4.2010

This was [almost] better than fireworks. Mentos + fizzy pop = FUN!

Ander and Clara enjoyed this very much! They went around collecting empty (and full) pop cans because they wanted more.

Friends & Eggs 7.4.2010

I can't think of a better place for us to be on the 4th of July. We love our Wrangell family and friends!

"Toss your egg now!"
Either my brain subconsciously (is that the right word?) ignored this traditional Wrangell 4th of July declaration, or I was far enough away to not hear it. *chuckle*

Wait for it 7.4.2010

Last year when we were waiting for the fireworks to start, Ander would keep on saying, "Wait for it...wait for it..." And then when the first firework exploded, he was totally into the show! It was SO much fun watching it with Ander and Clara! We didn't want to miss that this 4th of July, so we found ourselves on their beautiful deck watching the fireworks display. Hours before I found them already in their spots, anxious and waiting for the fireworks display. The fireworks start at 11:00 pm since they have to wait for it to get dark.
