Phone Game 7.20.13

Jeralyn really enjoys playing a game on my phone called Peekaboo Barn.  She can play the game all on her own.  There are other games she likes to play as well, but needs my help navigating some of those.  She has lots of fun!

Me and my girl 7.22.13

Natasha captured this moment of us together.  Jeralyn likes to look at the pictures on my phone.  She even knows how to play a couple of games on her own.  She's such a sweet girl!

Shelly snuggles 7.20.13

Natasha was playing with one of our lenses on Quent's camera and she took these super sweet pictures of Jeralyn snuggling with Shelly.  So so sweet!

Correction: this was actually pictures Quent took of Jeralyn waking up Natasha this particular morning.  Jeralyn would practically run down the stairs and jump on Natasha.  Such fun!

Dude! 7.18.13

Quent suggested we go on a hike up Dude Mountain.  So that's what we did...

It was a cool(er) day.  And it was foggy!  We were walking through clouds when we got closer to the top.

Jeralyn is all about the berries when we walk/hike and play in the yard right now.  She knows the difference between blueberries, red huckleberries, raspberries, salmon berries, cloud berries, and strawberries.  And probably more.  Quent spends a lot of the time picking berries for her to eat when we are out and about.  And if there's snow, she would like some of that to munch on too!  And fortunately for her, there was still snow to be eaten!

Hello fog!  I'm probably somewhere in this picture, but you cannot see me.

A picture of some of the wildflowers on the saddle on the ridge.

I'm totally fake smiling in this picture.  I was ready to be done.  It was cold and misty, and we couldn't see anything. No pretty views this day.

Pretty water droplets on Jeralyn's eyelashes.

Enjoying a snack and trying to keep Jeralyn warm.  Poor girl was shivering.

We bundled her up good before we retreated down the mountain.

She was pretending to give me a salmon berry and then would quickly put it into her mouth to eat it.  She thought it was hilarious!  Love her!

Silvis Trail 7.15.13

I (Christina) didn't join Quent and Natasha on their adventure on this hike, but the pictures tell me that they had a great time together and enjoying the beautiful, rugged, Alaskan country.

Natasha in the tunnel taking some pictures.

Wow!  Spectacular!

Upper Silvis Lake.

Beautiful, clear water!

Coast Guard Beach (again) 7.14.13

A week later we found ourselves at Coast Guard Beach again, but this time with Natasha.  We brought a picnic lunch and enjoyed the warm, sunny day at the beach.

There's a cruise ship in this photo.  Can you see it?

Our little Tigers fan!

Coast Guard Beach 7.7.13

Stepping back in time a bit since Quent recently edited some photos from his camera.  This particular Sunday afternoon we hiked down to Coast Guard Beach and then grabbed some burgers/shakes on the way home.  We had a great time at the beach!  Quent found a couple of starfish for Jeralyn to check out and play with.

Quent buried her legs under the "sand".  She thought it was fun!

Video: 1-2-3 Go!! 7.16.13

Video: Xylophone 7.16.13

Video: Giggles 7.10.13

This is probably my most favorite video of Jeralyn.  I think you will like it too!

Video: Waving 7.4.13

After we left the food booths after the parade we were caught in some traffic (which is rare).  We had to wait awhile and while we waited Jeralyn was waving to the cars and people outside.

Video: Dunked! 7.3.13

Video: Blue Slide 7.2.13

Video: Oh Tiggo! 6.20.13

I caught her playing with her animal stuffed kitty.  She calls all cats "Tiggo" for Tigger.  She even calls Shadow "Tiggo".  I thought it was so cute that she set out a plate of food for "Tiggo".  Super cute!

Video: Pretend Coughing 6.17.13

I have these fabric pieces I keep in an old wipes container that she can pull out and stuff back in.  I caught her this day using each fabric piece like it was a tissue.  It reminds me of something I would have done as a child.  Silly girl!

Quent was putting "Shelly" on his head and making her shake around.  Jeralyn thought it was hilarious!  Here are her giggles recorded:

Park with "Tasha" 7.15.13

(See earlier post for more explanation of Natasha's visit)

We went to the park this Monday morning.  We had some beautiful weather when Natasha was visiting, so we took advantage of it with some visits to the park(s) and beach.

Here they are swinging together.

Aunt Natasha 7.15.13

Little did I know that Quent and his sister Natasha were planning for her to visit us for 10 days.  They had this planned since February and I had no idea!  She was visiting her brother and his family in Juneau and then flew down to see us.  But all this time I thought she wasn't going to be able to make it.  I was so bummed because she was in the same state and we wouldn't see her.  [insert frown]  Well, I went hunting for garage sales on the morning of Saturday, July 13th with a friend.  Quent told me he was going to do some shopping with Jeralyn...which they did AFTER the picked up Natasha from the airport.  When I came home, I could tell something was up.  I walked into the kitchen and I asked, "Is someone here?"  And then Natasha came around the corner and I freaked out!  Like super excited, jumping up and down freaking out.  They got me good!  And they got me on video!  So thankful she was able to visit us after all.  And what a great surprise to pull off!  We really enjoyed our visit with her...which you will see in upcoming posts.  And maybe, if you are good, I will share the video.

Jeralyn absolutely LOVED having her aunt here!  She calls her "Tasha" and loved every moment she had with her.  It was precious to see them spending time together.

Sensory Bin 7.5.13

I was making pizza and Jeralyn was staying busy on top of the counter with a rice sensory bin.  I took some photos of her rice bin with the animals previously.  It's a messy activity because rice ends up all over, but she enjoys it.

Dude Mountain 7.6.13

Quent talked us into doing a hike up Dude Mountain.  It was a pleasant hike, although challenging at times, especially toward the end.  We spent some time on top taking photos and enjoying the beautiful scenery.  Jeralyn had a blast!  I'm so glad she enjoys the outdoors!

Finally at the top!

I think I had to tickle her to get her to smile for this picture.

Watching Daddy climb the rock and contemplating it herself.

"Hi Dad!"  "Hi Jeralyn!"

It was a little bright!

I caught Quent laughing.

Lupine.  There's a lot of wildflowers up on the ridge.  So pretty!

Jeralyn brought Shelly with her.  Quent tied a noose around Shelly's neck and tied her to the backpack so she wouldn't get lost on the mountain on our hike up.  I love this picture of her with her!  So sweet!

This is one of several pictures I took of Quent jumping over Jeralyn.  I don't know if you can tell, but she's super excited about this and laughing.
