One of our favorite places to walk is around Ward Lake. We park in a parking lot next to what is called the "frog pond". This was one of the few times we've had snow this winter.
The body of water is Ward Lake. This is a popular place for recreation. There are a few covered areas near the "beach" where people have parties. Almost every time we've walked there we have seen people picnicking under the shelters with a toasty fire in the fireplace. There's a campground next to the lake, too. We hope to canoe on the lake this spring and summer.
