Ski Tour 11.29.09

Guide sign burried in fluffy white powder.  Little did I know that the last days of November would represent the last of the excellent powder days on Deer Mountain.  This sign is about a half mile from the Deer Mountain Cabin and about 3/4 mile from the summit.

Christina says that this cornice reminds her of the Grinch's mountain.

Oops, it looks like I double watermarked this photo.  Blue Lake sign and cabin.  The cabin is really snug, but I'm sure it's really welcoming on a cold, rainy day.

Ridge toward Silvis Lake.

Yeah, it was windy all right.  Ice and snow accumulates on only one side of the trail markers/vegetation on these mountain tops.
