Sleeping baby, soloing, & South Dakota October 5-8, 2012

We left Dorr around 10:30 am on October 5th and spent most of the day traveling to LaCrosse, Wisconsin. Jeralyn did great with all of that car travel!  Quent and I listened to audio books on my iPhone as we traveled over the rivers, through toll booths, through farm lands, through the woods, and to Grandma's house...

I couldn't resist sharing these pictures of sleeping beauty:

On October 6th we traveled another 3-4 hours to Quent's Uncle Rich and Aunt Judi's house in Sioux Falls, South Dakota.  We thoroughly enjoyed our visit with these two.  They are SO much fun!  Oh!!  And Jeralyn took her first few solo walking steps that morning at the hotel!

Aunt Denise came over for a visit and to meet Jeralyn.  Was so great to see her and her daughter Jessica.

The next morning we traveled about 1.5 hours to visit with Quent's grandmother, Annette.  We went to church with her and then had a delicious lunch with her at her house.  I got to see a little bit of the farm that Quent's mother grew up on.  Unfortunately, we didn't take a lot of photos while we were visiting.  We saw other members of the family, such as Uncle Craig, Aunt Jackie, cousin Matthew, Uncle Dale & Aunt Jolene, Uncle David, Uncle Doug, and cousin Jake.  I think that was everyone.  The picture above is us with Grandma.  Jeralyn doesn't look too pleased. Ha!

We spent one more night at Uncle Rich and Aunt Judi's.  Jeralyn absolutely adored Judi.  Who wouldn't?  She's amazing!

We hope to see them again soon!  xoxo
