Squishy Mud

We stopped along the road because the scenery was beautiful and we needed to stretch.


The water was so beautiful!

Quent showed us how to stomp on the soil/dirt/mud (whatever you call it). It was really interesting. The mud would soften without breaking the surface. Sara said it was like quicksand. It was fun to play with.

Before this picture was taken I asked Quent if he would take a picture of me in front of the fall colors. Pat & Sara started to laugh. I agreed that it was pathetic to a midwestern person for me to call that "fall colors", but I'll take what I can get. Ha!
