We climed up a 200' rock in what seemed to be the beginning of Summit Glacier and enjoyed the incredible views of mountains, glaciers, ice fields, iceburgs floating LeConte Bay, the islands of southeast Alaska, the towns of Wrangell and Petersburg and an endless sky all from about 5400 feet in elevation.
Gesture of triumph as we make it to the end of our day's journey... really only the half-way point because we still have to get back.
Clouds forming behind Castle Mountain.
Starting the long hike back to camp.
