Overnight Backcountry Trip

Marsha Peak. On the way to the high country shelter for an overnight stay in a snowcave (yet to be constructed).

The work is just beginning. I hiked about 3 miles and ascended about 2300' with about 80 pounds of gear. I weighed my gear before I left just out of curiosity and it tipped the scales at 74 or 75 pounds. Then I added a backcountry shovel and some other miscellaneous items.

The Alaskan version of big sky.
