The day after Christmas I decided to expend some of my excess energy stores and go skiing. I started early, and while it was calm in town it was windy at the top of the mountain as seen in this photo.
The ceiling was low all day long. For some reason it was higher near the peak I was skiing which was nice. I kept expecting it to drop and watch some surround peaks get enveloped in clouds but it never happened.
I made three fun runs down the back (deep powder) side of the mountain. It was great skiing! My "new" powder boards kept me afloat even when I was kicking up so much powder that all I could see was white.
