Christina and I took a tour of the dam. It was pretty neat to look at the massive scale of the structure up close. This picture shows half of the generators at the bottom of Hoover Dam. If the light at the top of the generators was on, it indicated that the generator was active. The "N" painted on the light represented Nevada. The other bank of generators have a similar numbering scheme except that they are prefixed with an "A" for Arizona.
A portion of one of the Nevada water intakes is visible on the left of the photo. The water level is significantly below capacity as evidenced by the water lines on the dam.
