Angel's Landing

This little sandstone formation is the very top of Angel's Landing. It was definitely worth the hike. There were spectacular 360 degree views with incredible depth.

Looking toward the head of the Canyon. The thin little ridge of rock on the left hand side of the photo is what hiker have to walk across to get there. There were several people that stopped short because of the heights. With all the people going up I thought this would be a crowded place but almost all of them stopped about a half mile away at a rest area, which was a pretty nice destination in and of itself.

Big bend is visible over 1300 feet below.

Not only is the trail rather steep but it was also narrow with a 900 foot cliff on the left side and a 1200 foot cliff on the right. In many places there were small steps cut into the sandstone so walking up this wasn't too difficult.
