Cheeks! 1.27.12

We love her big ole cheeks!  Who could resist kissing them?  She likes to kiss our cheeks too.  We'll hold her and ask her, "Can I have a kiss?"  And she'll smother our cheek with an wide-open, slobbery kiss.  And sometimes she has sound effects that go along with it.  It's precious!  And funny!

We are enjoying watching her personality bloom.  She has about as much patience as her mother (cough).  She knows she's cute now and has a grin to prove it.  She really studies things.  She pays attention to details.   She's pretty content (most of the time--except when she's being impatient).  She squeals in delight.  She doesn't giggle a whole lot, but it's heart-melting when she does.  I think she has more of a personality like her mama, but we'll see what develops.

"Sitting" 1.26.12

Jeralyn has been practicing sitting.  She will sit upright on her own for a little while before topping over.  She's getting better though!  Such a precious little sweetheart!

5 months! 1.24.12

It's hard to believe that our little girl is 5 months!!

This was the first day we noticed her pushing up with her arms straight like you will see in the video.  Also, her  smile has changed, like she knows she's being cute now.  Her smiles seriously melt our hearts!

Avocado Take 2 1.23.12

She tried avocado for the second time yesterday and didn't seem to mind it.  See for yourself!

360 Degrees 1.22.12

Jeralyn was on her tummy on her floor mat and I watched her do a complete 360 turn.  I couldn't believe it!  She was proud of herself!  She just kept on scooting around and around, on the carpet and all!

Winter Walk 1.22.12

On Sunday we went on a walk on the Savage trail near Ward Cove.

So far she's been sitting on the Bumbo on the table.  We will start using her beautiful Amish-made high chair soon.

She gets pretty excited when she knows it's time to eat!

Baby Cakes 1.17.12

Jeralyn had her wellness check-up on the 16th.  She weighed 15 lb 1 oz.  She's now in the 50th percentile for her weight, and 90-95th percentile for her length.  And the most surprising thing we learned was that the doc thinks she'll be getting her front bottom teeth in the next week or two, but definitely within the next month.  I was shocked!

Tummy Time 1.10.12

I have a bunch of layers of blankets stacked together on the floor in our livingroom for "tummy time".  She is really good at rolling from her back to tummy, but not so great rolling from tummy to back.  So she gets stuck on her tummy and then fusses (see last photo).
