Quent's beautiful pictures of the deer cabbage from 9-20-08 really motivated me to want to go up some elevation to find some fall color. I'm a midwestern girl who REALLY misses the fall colors! So I will take any color I can find this time of year. We decided to take a hike up to the Forest Service Pond Shelter. It was my first time going up to the Pond Shelter. It was a gloriously beautiful day!
