One thing I love about Wrangell is the evening glow. This is our favorite time to walk.

Ferry + Birds

Goodbye & Hello

Cross-beaks (or is it Cross-Bills?) No matter, their beaks cross and they sound like miniature helicopters when they fly. We had about 9 pairs of these. They are really neat birds!

Shadow hates cameras. I love that face she's making! "I am going to attack the lens if you don't put it down!!" This day was her birthday. Party pooper!

Bubbles

Grace Miller is a hoot! Joy and I spent time with her at the park blowing bubbles. It was fun to take pictures of the action.

Birds

Quent's watching the birds and taking photographs. And a bird is watching him. He was outside for quite awhile taking pictures of the birds at our feeder and I noticed the birds would fly all around him, totally comfortable with him out there. One time a bird flew onto his camera. It was then that I grabbed my camera and started snapping photos.

I'm sure Quent or I will post the photos he took this day after they are processed.

Winter Walk

It's really weird to be looking at these pictures since it's the end of June now. I don't even want to think about snow.

These pictures of Tigger wearing the sunglasses make me laugh. These are actually Hombi's sunglasses that he accidently left here. Quent put them on Tigger and at first I felt sorry for Tigger, but then he was just putting up with it.

Hombi's visit

Remember Hombi? He came to visit us in mid-March. Here are a few pictures Quent took while giving Hombi the tour of Southeast. Quent will have to fill in the blanks later. (Our pictures need to be blogged sometime this year, right?)


Hombi touring Petersburg (at least I think it's Petersburg).

Quent took Hombi on a quest up the Rainbow Falls trail. Skiing was the main goal.

Quent hasn't edited most of the pictures of Hombi's visit, so stay tuned for more of these in the future.

Michigan Highlights

Hello! This is Christina here. It's been awhile since we've blogged, but it's been even longer since I have blogged. I wanted to share just a few pictures from my trip to Michigan back in February/March. I spent 3 weeks visiting family and friends. I really wish I would have taken more pictures! 300-something just wasn't enough! Here are some highlights from my trip:

I think these kids deserve some kudos for putting up with a sister who is around maybe twice a year. It's not everyday that a 10, 8, and 6 year old have to say goodbye knowing it will be 6 months or longer before they see someone they love again. Goodbyes are never fun!
