Quent set up his new camera equipment: a circular reflector.  He asked Jeralyn to sit and he took some pictures of her.  These were my favorites:

She had just been helping me in the kitchen by licking some frosting, so there's some specks of frosting still on her face.

I think he was trying to get her to smile, but she just pursed those little lips.

And this is my favorite picture!  He asked her to stick her tongue out: perfect!  Just love her!

More Beach 11.10.13

Quent and Jeralyn went to the beach one morning.  They enjoyed throwing rocks into the water.  Jeralyn got a little wet again.  *smile*

Abby's Birthday 11.2.13

One of Jeralyn's friends is Abby.  Jeralyn calls her "Abigail".  Abby had her first birthday and we went to the party.  Jeralyn enjoyed the party!

Beach Play 10.28.13

It was about 48 degrees or so (???).  We went to the beach before dark.  Jeralyn loves the beach!

She walked through the water...

And then she sat down...

And basically laid in the water...

Did I mention it was 40-something degrees?

The cold water didn't bother her at all!  We didn't expect her to "swim" in the water, but there she was!  Good thing we don't live too far away from the beach.

Hello 11.20.13

As you can see, I updated the blog with a whole bunch of videos last night (21 videos if I counted correctly).  I'm a little behind on posting pictures (and videos).  I'm waiting for Quent to finish editing some photos, and to be honest, I haven't been taking too many photos recently.  Oops!  I blame it on reorganizing our "office", which is now downstairs in our house since baby boy is taking over what used to be our office.  I've been painting and preparing his room.  Lots of stuff going on--and a busy toddler running around!  Thank you for your patience as we slowly update the blog.

Jeralyn is growing quickly!  She started saying her name a couple of weeks ago.  It's a more difficult name to say for a little kid, but she says it all of the time now.  "Bring Jeralyn", "Jeralyn's _____", "Jeralyn have some too", etc.  And I've discovered this week that she's growing out of her 3T clothes!  I can't believe it!

I'm feeling great so far this pregnancy (aside from heartburn and congestion).  I'm slowly preparing for baby boy, due March 18, 2014.

Deck Play 10.28.13

Goodbye Friends! 10.27.13

My first Ketchikan friend and her family moved to Idaho.  We spent some time together before we said goodbye.  We are hoping to visit them maybe next summer or fall.  It was really sad to see them leave, but it was an amazing opportunity for them.  I miss them all so much already!

This is Taryn.  She's almost 4 years old.  I watched her when she was 3 and 4 months old.

And this is Jake.  He's 6 months younger than Jeralyn.

"Coffee" October 24 & 25, 2013

Jeralyn thinks she likes coffee, tea, and hot chocolate.  Well, I take that back, she DOES like it!  And well, I like my coffee, tea, and hot chocolate sweet, so of course she does!  She has her own little teacup and saucer, so I gave her something both of these days.  She likes to sit with me and sip her drink.

This is probably one of the best pictures I've seen with her in a full smile.  I just love this girl!

Pumpkin Carving 10.20.13

Ketchikan had a "pumpkin patch" for the kids to come pick out a pumpkin, for a price, but the best price in town over all.  So one drizzly Saturday afternoon Jeralyn picked out her pumpkin.  And we chose this particular day to carve it.  I was so excited, beaming in nostalgia.  There's just something about sticking my hands inside a pumpkin and pulling out the slimy seeds!  But Jeralyn didn't think so.  She was only interested for maybe 3 minutes.  So the pumpkin remains faceless.  It's just a pumpkin with it's top cut off.  So sad!

This is when it was no longer fun.  Look at that disgusted expression on her face!

And then came the tears.
