Carlanna Lake Trail 9.15.12

We found another trail that is one of our favorites in Ketchikan.  It's the Carlanna Lake Trail.  They recently extended the trail and it's really nice!

We let Jeralyn out for a little bit on the way down so she wouldn't give into the temptation of taking a nap when it wasn't nap time yet.  We found a mossy spot, but it was slanted slightly, so she was a little climber.

On a very sad note, we believe we accidently left Quent's camera behind a week before at another trailhead  we had lunch at.  So far we haven't located the camera.  I can't even think about it...  Makes me so sad!

Pig-tails 9.14.12

Books 9.13.12

When all is quiet and Jeralyn is nowhere in sight, this is where we find her:

She will find the basket of books in her room and just sit on the floor and look through them.  She's a girl after my own heart--a book lover!

Play Dough 9.12.12

I found a recipe to make homemade play dough on Pinterest using Jello.  I had one box of lime flavored Jello, so that's what I made.  She had fun playing with it, although she tried to eat it.  It's edible, but I'm working with her on not eating everything.  Ha!

Apple Core 9.11.12

She's at that point where she wants to eat everything I am eating (which doesn't bode well with me--I don't like sharing my food, but I suppose I should get over it now).  She wanted the apple I was eating, so I gave her the core.  She really enjoyed it!

Cheesy 9.4.12

One of her favorite meals is pasta with tomato sauce.  She gobbles it down like there's no tomorrow!  I like this trio of photos, especially the last one with her cheesy grin!

Pink Bow 9.3.12

 Our little girl is growing up so fast!  And her hair is growing fast, too!  I have been experimenting with putting hair clips/ties in her hair, but she can tell they are there and ties to pull them out.  Headbands don't stay on very long these days, either!  Oh well, I know she'll get used to them someday.  Isn't she cute?

Party! 8.25.12

At last...I am posting about her party!  Sorry...the program I use to export pictures wasn't working, so that's why the delay.

Jeralyn's 1st birthday party was a great success!  She had a lot of fun!  And so did we!  

These are the cupcakes I made.  The white chocolate cake was from scratch, along with the cream cheese frosting.  YUM!

I made these [eye-less] ladybug cookies.  I had fun making them!
