We went and checked out the Mendenhall Glacier one afternoon. It had snowed previously. When we were walking on the trail to the waterfall it was lightly misting/raining. We were thankful for our rain jackets, but I wished I would have brought my rain pants. Oh well! When you live in Southeast Alaska you learn to deal with the moisture. I really like how there are lots of trails and recreational opportunies near the glacier. The trails are friendly (on the legs). We saw people walking their dogs, kids running around, and people just enjoying the afternoon.
