Going from hunting whitetail deer to blacktail deer is quite an experience. Make one unusual noise around a whitetail and it will run away, while the opposite seems to be true around nonpressured blacktail. Walked up on this guy following a doe and he stood still for me while I took a shot that dropped him.

ReplyDeleteThat is a beautiful deer! The Wommells are currently bow hunting and the big hunt will begin on Wed. So far, no one has shot a deer, though there are plenty around
