Every Single Day 3.12.12

Every single day I thank God for my little girl.  Every single day I smile knowing that this sweet little girl is the one we waited a long time for.  I haven't shared much about it on this blog except that it took 7 long years before our Promise came true.  Every single day I fall more and more in love with her.  She's amazing!  And she was SO worth the wait!!  Jeralyn Promise...she is our promise come true!

It's hard to believe (and almost embarrassing) that we only have 2 sets of family photos.  And my mom took both sets!  (Thank you, Mom!)  We hope to have more taken before she leaves.

Would you believe it if I told you that Jeralyn is getting closer to crawling?  You better believe it!  This week she's been showing off her Pilates plank pose!  And she sure does more around more and more!  My mom placed her bet that she'll be crawling in a couple of weeks.

Here I tired to catch her plank pose in action.  She gets up higher than this, but this is all I could capture.

Tigger is either desperate for attention or he's really comfortable around Jeralyn now.  He has come and laid down by her a few times now.  You can imagine how much she loves that!  So we help her pet him and say, "Gentle, gentle."

Grandma Came! 3.7.12

My mom is here to help for a couple of weeks during my recovery since I am not able to lift/carry Jeralyn, so Quent can get some solid work done.  So thankful she was able to come and help me!  I'm not one that easily asks for help, so this has been a humbling experience for me.

 

 

 

 

Sink Bath 3.5.12

This was Jeralyn's first official sink bath without the infant tub.  She loves baths, but she seemed a bit more hesitant being in the sink.  And she really didn't enjoy it after Quent fell off the chair while trying to take pictures.  He's frightened/startled her a few times now.  Poor baby!

 

See those big elephant tears!  This was right after he fell and made a bunch of noise.  (He was okay by the way!) 

 

In the crib 3.5.12

Since I cannot lift or carry Jeralyn for a few more weeks now we have to wait for Daddy to lift her out of her crib after waking.  Quent was at work when she woke up, so I called him to let her know she was awake. He's only 2 miles from home, so he is home quick.  In the meantime, Jeralyn and I play.  Quent had to leave earlier than her nap for a meeting, so he put her in the crib so she could play before taking a nap. I know, so sad.  I think it's pathetic that we have to do things like this, but it's good for me in the healing department.

She didn't seem to mind...
