Joel's 2nd Birthday :: February 12, 2018
Happy birthday to Joel! He's a wild and loud 2 year old with lots and lots of energy. His favorite word is "no". He loves to sing and to read books that have songs. He loves "cool cars". He calls Lightning McQueen "Keen". He doesn't like to be left out of anything fun. He likes to ride in the backpack on Daddy's back when he skis. He is trying to skip out on naps. He likes to turn the light on when he's supposed to be sleeping (but Mommy figured out how to out-smart him on that one). He loves yogurt and oranges. And he's quite the meat-eater. He's loud. He screams. He jumps. He dances. He's a rough and tumble boy. Oh boy!
For breakfast on Joel's birthday, we had crepes with sprinkles.
Yum!
This is his birthday cupcake from after dinner.
Opening presents.
Quent took some of the day off and we went for a walk/sled up on some Forest Service land. There was no snow in Kamiah, but there was up on the ridge. We had a really nice time together. Quent was doing funny things to make us smile and laugh for these photos.
Joel :: February 10, 2018
I had a little photo shoot with Joel. Quent had taken older two kids skiing and so it was just Joel and I. I took advantage of the time we had together and snapped some photos.

Joshua painting and making silly faces.
Joshua made this pretty butterfly. He was so proud.
Joel's naps are slowly going away, but sometimes he will take a good nap. I was happy to capture him on camera.

Whoa! I have some catching up to do!

Decorating cookies
Joshua started doing the chore Jeralyn did with putting away all of the lower dishes (dishes that are lower that they can reach to put them away). I wasn't sure if he would be excited about doing this chore, but he's doing a really good job with it.
Twas the night before Christmas...
Christmas morning (not sure where Joel was when this was taken).
Jeralyn and I had a coffee date and then we went to the playground.
