Here are some pictures from our 4th of July festivities:
We didn't get too far down the road before we hit a traffic jam (which is a rarity here). The parade was starting on our end of town, so it took a little longer to get to where we normally watch the parade.
Before the parade started, we visited the food booths. Jeralyn and I shared a piece of pie. Or should I say, Jeralyn shared some of her pie with me. Ha!
It felt like the parade took forever to get to us. Jeralyn couldn't wait! I think she was anticipating the candy.
I wore Joshua in the baby carrier the whole parade (which again, took a long time to come our way). There was a lot of bouncing and patting going on to keep him happy.
Jeralyn's friend Olivia was in the parade.
Holding her candy bag and watching the parade.
After the parade was over, Olivia came to visit with Jeralyn. Jeralyn was showing her the candy she picked up during the parade.
Jeralyn went to bed at normal time that night, and then we woke her at 10:30 so she could go with Quent to watch the fireworks (at 11:00 pm). She enjoyed them very much! One of the first things she told me was that there wasn't any turtle fireworks. Ha!
