My Babies 6.3.14

This picture was taken before the kids went to bed.  This was just before I put Joshua to bed and then read Jeralyn a book.  After we read, we turn on Jeralyn's "octopus light" and then we pray, give hugs and kisses.  And then I ask her what her favorite part of the day was, in which for awhile, she would answer, "Close the door."  In other words she meant, "Mom, it's time for me to go to sleep!"  Ha!  But now she will answer me with a laugh and then ask me what my favorite part of the day was.  It's so sweet!

Baby Pool 6.1.14

Quent and I celebrated our 12th anniversary this day.  We went out to dinner a couple of days before while our neighbors watched the kiddos.  On our actual anniversary we had friends over for a barbeque.  Our friend Samantha brought a little blow-up pool for Jeralyn and Abby to play in.  The water was cold, but they loved it!  Jeralyn doesn't seem to mind cold water at all (which is why she likes to try to swim in the ocean when it's 40* out).  On this particular day it was maybe 60*.  That's what happens when you live in Alaska.  It's like summer!  Ha!

Oh baby! 5.31.14

We are working with Joshua on turning his neck both ways.  He has developed what is called Torticollis and Positional Plagiocephaly.  It will get better on its own as his neck muscles get stronger, but we are also going to take him to a physical theraphy session to learn how to help it along.

Coloring 5.31.14

One of Jeralyn's favorite things to do is color.  On this day she asked if she could color in her bedroom.  I said that would be fine since it's the Crayola Color Wonder markers.  They are clear markers but the colors come out on the special Color Wonder paper.  Perfect!

Hair 5.28.14

Jeralyn had this same funny patch of hair on the back of her head when she was this age.  I wonder if his will all fall out like hers did.

Love Her 5.27.14

I will ask her to put her cheek next to mine and I will hold out the camera and take a picture of the two of us.  I love that she likes to do this with me!

I really think this is such a fun age!  She is starting to say some pretty funny things!  Like, she will ask me things like this: "I yike chocolate in my yunch.  We do dat, Mom?  We do dat?"  She's starting to ask to wear a dress when I pick out her clothes in the morning.  I think the movie Frozen is influencing her in that way.  And she's been singing "Let It Go" from Frozen and if she doesn't have a dress on, she puts a blanket around her and pretends that's her dress.

Puzzles 5.24.14

Jeralyn is getting really good at putting puzzles together.  She will often have one out that she is working on.  I'm impressed!

Friend 5.23.14

Jeralyn loves being around people.  And she loves when friends come over to play.  Her friend Abby has been coming over to play more often and they are so cute together!

Jeralyn is really into blowing bubbles right now and she's getting pretty good at it!
