Painting with Grace 3.11.14
My friend Joy and her daughter Grace (from Wrangell) came for a week just in case baby came this week. There are more pictures to come of their time here. These were pictures I took of them coloring with some watercolor pencils and then painting the images with water. Jeralyn loved spending time with Gracie.

Video: Rise & Shine! 2.15.14
Quent was reading to Jeralyn out of one of her Bible books and there was a poem/song that got their attention. I don't remember learning these kinds of songs with hand movements when I was younger, so it was fun to see Quent so animated and Jeralyn absolutely loving it!

Crocuses 3.1.14
I didn't believe Quent when he told me the crocuses had popped through and were in bloom, so he took some pictures of them. We did have some nice weather, but then it was colder right around the time they bloomed, so I think they are confused.
Playground 3.1.14
I had this great idea (since it was so sunny out), to go to the school playground. It was a Saturday, so no recess to work around. Well, we were only there for maybe...maybe 10 minutes when I realized that it was way too cold and windy for my taste. It was a bitter cold wind. So we left and went for a drive instead. Jeralyn enjoyed the short time we had there though. I think she agreed that it was a bit cold.
Our Girl 3.1.14
Recently, when we refer to Jeralyn as "baby girl", "goofy", "beautiful" or other such references, she is quick to correct us. She says, "No, Jeralyn", which sounds more like, "No, Jay-Lynn". She's pretty good about using "me", "I", and "you" the correct way now.
And here she is cuddling with Shelly.
Outside 2.27.14
We had some 50 degree days, so it was perfect for playing outside. Jeralyn was able to ride in her "rescue car" on the deck since most of the snow melted. I sat on a chair and read while she played.
Play-doh Turtles 2.25.14
Jeralyn and I were playing with Play-doh together and she asked me to make a daddy, mommy, and baby turtles. She loves her turtles!

Sweet Face 2.25.14
I don't even know what to say about this photo. I just love this little girl! It makes me a bit sad to know she won't be getting my full attention after her brother comes. She brings us such JOY!
She says a lot of funny things now. We find ourselves laughing quite a bit. And she has this cute little laugh. She likes making us laugh, too.
She likes to play outside, but if she sees a bug she isn't too happy. She gets that from her mama.
Shelly is still her favorite and calls her, "Baby Shelly" or "Cute Shelly". She gets really excited about turtles! Even Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles!
She is getting really good at counting, but her favorite order of counting is, "1, 2, 7, 18."
She likes to sing her ABC's.
"Whistle" 2.24.14
We've had some beautiful weather recently. We even had a couple of days where it was 50 degrees! We've been taking advantage of it by playing outside.
Jeralyn found this tube in the fenced in area of our yard (used to be a dog run) and she calls it her "whistle". One day she was pretending to call some cats. She would whistle into it and then say, "Here, kitty, kitty." One of the days she did this 2 cats showed up at different times, which I thought was super funny! Maybe she will be a cat herder after all.
Baskets & Blankets 2.22.14 & 2.24.14
Silly girl! We keep most of her stuffed animals in these baskets underneath our coffee table. On this day she decided it would be fun to climb in and join the animals.
And she's still doing blanket time. So glad I made this part of her day (I began doing it when she started crawling at 7 months). She likes to play with all sorts of things during blanket time, including Quent's rock collection.
Reading Books 2.19.14
Jeralyn loves looking through her books. Lately, she's enjoyed sitting on the couch with a box of books, just thumbing through the pages. I love her serious expressions when she "reads".
Train Puzzle 2.18.14
Jeralyn asked to play with a train puzzle that she hadn't played with in a long time. This time she was really good about putting the puzzle pieces together by herself. We just have to coach her on what pieces go together.
Friends 2.18.14
Our friends were back from Wrangell to get Evo's pins out of his arm. This time they brought Ander and Clara, too. They spent a night at our house and it was SO nice to see them! Jeralyn had a blast playing with them.
Days after our friends left she kept on asking, "Friends go?"
Package 2.12.14
Quent's Aunt Harriet sent us a package with some clothes for baby boy and she included a VeggieTales video for Jeralyn. She was beyond excited! We really should have recorded her on video.
Beach with Dad 2.1.14
Quent and Jeralyn went to the beach together. They had lots of fun!
I think this starfish is so vibrant!
Jeralyn carried around another starfish the whole time they were there.
She loves the beach!
Yummy Snow 2.1.14

Jeralyn was licking off the dusting of snow on the rhododendrons.
