Marker Face 2.13.14

Oh Jeralyn! 

Some time before her nap she was coloring with washable markers and decided it would be a great idea to color on her wrists.  Where do toddlers come up with these ideas?  Ha!  I guess I was too tired to even think about washing her hands before nap (since I was hoping to nap as well).  She must have had her hands close to her face when she was sleeping because the marker rubbed onto her face.  It made me laugh and then of course I had to run and grab the camera.  Silly girl!  And then she posed really cute for me!

I'm not sure if that's the correct date for this video, but I'm too lazy to look it up.  There's been a lot of bubble wrap popping going on around our house, so it's safe to say this is a very recent video.  This will bring you smiles and possibly a giggle or two.

The White Stuff February 10-11, 2014

After not having any snow for a couple of months, the snow globe was shaken once again.  Jeralyn was SO excited to see the snow and immediately talked about going out to build a snow-Shelly (turtle).  After lunch this day she played on the deck for a bit and ate snow.

Bedtime Story 2.9.14

Pretty Kitty 2.5.14

 Quent had knee reconstruction done on his knee (Febuary 4th) due to not having ACL in his right knee.  He said that this particular injury goes back to when he was about 20 years old.  So he's been recovering at home in his "king's chair".  Tigger has been giving him lots of love!

At the Beach 1.31.14

Jeralyn loves going to the beach!  So this morning, before the tide was too high, we went to the beach for about 30-40 minutes.  She had fun throwing rocks into the water and walking through the water with her rubber boots.

It was a beautiful day that required sunglasses.

We walked for awhile on the beach and on our way back she found a baby starfish.  She carried it around for quite awhile.

Hair Bows 1.31.14

Recently, Jeralyn has been having fun playing with her flower headbands.  She calls them "hair bows".  For a few mornings in a row, she would find me getting ready in the bathroom and she would say, "Mommy, wear this!"  And she would hand me a hair bow to wear.  And of course I would.  I thought it would be fun to get a picture of us.  Sweet girl!

Rescue Car 1.27.14

One of Jeralyn's favorite shows to watch is Mickey Mouse Clubhouse.  In one of the episodes there is a rescue car that Goofy drives.  She calls her little car a "rescue car".  It's so cute!  She's having fun playing in it!

Honey 1.27.14

Jeralyn has a book about bees.  When we turn to the last page, there is a buzzing sound that comes through a little speaker from the back of the book.  When she first heard it she cried because it scared her, but she's become a little more brave.  When we get halfway through the book, she wants me to stop reading it because she's unsure of what's to come.  So I've had to work through her fear of that last page.  On the last page it talks about how bees make honey.  So we talked about honey and I asked her if she would like to taste some.  Of course she did!  I put a little bit on a spoon and she liked it!  Every once in awhile she will ask for some honey.
