Getting Ready 12.28.10

Quent was the photographer for Chad and Mikaela's wedding. I will only be blogging a few selected pictures for each 'event' of the wedding in courtesy to the newlyweds. Here's a few from the preparations before the wedding:

Rehearsal Dinner 12.27.10

The rehearsal dinner was in such a beautiful restaurant. I thought it was great! And the dinner was really tasty!

Rehearsal 12.27.10

Quent's dad was the minister for the wedding. I think this picture is so neat!

The little wedding announcers had bells on their feet and were practicing running down the isle to inform the groom that "the bride was coming". It was adorable! Here Chad is giving them some pointers.

We arrived at Smith Acres (Quent's parent's farm) and I met his cousin Lisa for the first time. A small group of us hung out at the house until we drove to the hall to help decorate.

Pepper 12.26.10

I'm not sure why we don't have any pictures of Christmas Day, but that's how it goes sometimes. We had a nice Christmas with my mom and Al. I saw Al's side of the family, who I hadn't seen for many years. It was great to see everyone! The day after Christmas we spent the morning and afternoon at my mom and Al's house before heading north to Atlanta for the wedding festivities.


This is Pepper, my parent's dog. She's also called "your dog" (Christina's dog) when she does something bad. I love my puppy!

Happy Birthday to me! 12.23.10

December 23rd is my birthday. This year I turned 29. Quent kept on teasing me that when people ask me how old I am and I tell them that I'm 29, that they won't believe me because everyone says they are "29" after a certain age. Ha, ha, ha. For my birthday, we had breakfast with my grandparents and Aunt Mary at Big Boys. The birthday dinner was quesadillas. My birthday dessert was a pumpkin roll. Mmmm....!!

Rock Climbing 12.23.10

For about 4 hours or so Quent, Kelly, and Jacob went rock climbing in an indoor "course". They had a lot of fun! Quent said it was quite a workout.

My sister Katie is a hoot! I just love her carefree outlook on life!

She's taking guitar lessons. It was fun to watch and hear her play. She has a beautiful singing voice, too.
