Quent will have to fill us in on where these pictures were taken. I believe it was when he was on Prince of Wales. He said there's a lot of roads to travel, which is really cool for us islanders.

This sign...well, what can I say? Maybe these signs should be put in all residential areas?

My friend Joy, her son Dawson, and her daughter Grace, came to visit us in Ketchikan. Dawson had a wrestling tournament. It was really great to spend time with them! I'm glad we didn't move too far away from Wrangell.

Along the pipeline 2.27.2010

We went for a walk on one of our favorite trails near Ward Cove. We found a trail along the pipeline (water). It was a crisp early afternoon. We saw our first few robins marking that Spring had officially arrived.

Nowhere 2.25.2010

I'm not sure where Quent took this picture or where he was coming home from, but it's a cool picture of a helicopter.

Remember all of that talk around the presidential election about "the bridge to nowhere"? Well, this is 'Nowhere'. Nowhere is where the Ketchikan International Airport is located. We have to take a ferry a very short distance across the water in order to get to the airport. It's $5 per person one-way. The price goes up for vehicles. Some people live on Nowhere. A bridge really would come in handy. It's not 'nowhere' for us. So this is Quent waiting to go back to Revilla Island which is houses the Ketchikan city limits. What happens is you get off the jet, run down to baggage claim in hopes that your luggage will come off the conveyor belt in time to get on the ferry so you don't have to wait an extra 30 minutes. So he must have had to wait a little while before catching the next ride over.

Sleeping on a mountain 2.10.2010

Yes, it's been what seems like forever since we have updated our blog. It's Quent's photos holding up the show and since it's not going to slow down for him anytime soon, I decided that I would post them. So ladies and gentleman, here are some photos of an overnight trip on Deer Mountain that Quent went on back in February:



I believe these are Quent's snowshoe tracks...or Bigfoot tracks.

Quent set up the camera to take pictures of himself cooking dinner...or maybe he entrusted his camera to Bigfoot.

Looks like Bigfoot got up early to take pictures of Quent sleeping. (Quent's really going to regret not posting these after he reads this) *Hi Quent!* *smile*
